禱告，沒有一定的形式。沒有一定的規則，沒有正確的做法。基督徒的禱告，常常不一定比非信徒還要神聖。

我們有了一個需要，我們發現我們需要上帝重視我們的需要，所以我們轉向上帝禱告。

那麼基督徒的禱告跟一般信仰的祈求有什麼差別呢？第一是禱告的對象，第二是我們在關係中禱告。

在禱告裡面，我們與創造世界的上帝，進入了一個親密的關係。正因為是親密的關係，所以禱告的時候我們不怕說錯話，不怕做錯事，不用在某個最恰當的時間，不需要具有特定的心情。

我們不用「成為什麼」才能跟上帝禱告，我們就開始禱告，隨時禱告。

People go to God when they’re in need,
plead for help, pray for blessings and bread,
for rescue from their sickness, guilt, and death.
So do they all. all of them, Christians and heathens.

People go to God when God’s in need,
find God poor, reviled, without shelter or bread,
see God devoured by sin, weakness, and death.
Christians stand by God in God’s own pain.

God goes to all people in their need,
fills body and soul with God’s own bread,
goes for Christians and heathens to Calvary’s death
and forgives them both.
